For those of you who have been following my blog for a while know and understand that I introduced my Daily Delight section to share the type of images that represent who I am as a person and as a photographer. I push myself to get better and step out of my box and share the stuff that makes me tick. Sometimes running a business as the wearer of every hat there is the day to day business takes over and I just don’t get to share with all of my loyal supporters what I have been working on and the wonderful opportunities that have been coming my way.
On Monday of this week I was given one such opportunity, Melissa and David the highly successful dynamic duo from Cafe Enzo in the Hunter Valley now have taken over the function side at the Hermitage Road vineyard Ironbark Hill, known as the Ironbark Hill Barrel Room and Gallery. I was invited to photograph a collection of vendors who came out to be interviewed on The Wedding Show, a soon to be released show on Foxtel, more to come soon on all that I got to experience.
Here is where Kristy Holt of KHolt Originals comes into the picture. Kristy is a local, incredibly talented artist who’s original artworks are on display at not only Cafe Enzo, Ironbark Hill Barrel Room and Winery but also David Hook Winery. Kristy’s profile is ever increasing and she has was in need of some headshots and promotional photos that were as unique as her. I was just so excited that she selected me as her photographer and we put our heads together and came up with some ideas. It was so much fun, these photos were all taken whilst we were hiding behind a table whilst the film crew were filming at the other end of the barrel room. We were like little kids whispering, and it was like a game of charades as I was giving hand gestures too.
