Who knows if Kate and Rhys were planning on having photos taken professionally of their baby when it came into the world, they may not have even given it a thought but their friend Emma certainly did. You see when I photographed Emma’s baby over a year ago Kate was sitting with her while they called up the photos that I had put on the blog for them and in Emma’s words “we both balled our eyes out together”. So as soon as the baby shower came around she organised to surprise Kate with a gift voucher for me to give her the same excitement as she had.

These two friends go way back, and when Rhys had to go back to work before our shoot Emma offered to come and help out on the day, bringing her Charlie and Evie with her. Kate drove over an hour to see me and with a less than two week old baby beat her friend with time to spare. I had been warned that she was always late but Emma was proved wrong. Three year old Charlie was a bit confused as I was holding Tyler when they got there and of course was taking the photos of her the whole time so he assumed she was my baby. He was very concerned when they were leaving as to why Auntie Kate was taking the wady with the camera’s baby in her car.
